Old's Kool is Cool

Yo! Buhay pa ako (I'm still alive). I was wandering (and wondering) around Cubao one wet evening when I stumbled upon a retro, antique, vintage shop with a lot of treasures for varied interests. The place is called Old's Kool and it's located in Cubao Expo, Stanford St., Araneta Center (in front of the old Rustan's). Lomography enthusiasts will find a lot of things there to cheer about: cameras, shirts and fellow lomo sapiens (I just coined that, mind) sharing the same evolutionary predisposition -- "don't think, just shoot." In fact, when I went there I was lucky enough to catch some lomo buffs and chat with them for a while (thus, I overheard the not thinking shooting quote previously mentioned). I've been curious about lomography since it was first described to me by a cousin who's into photography. Now I know a place where I can get more info on it.

There are other interesting stuff like Vespa related articles (including shirts). Music gadgetries of old, e.g., turn tables, cassette tapes and even vintage electric guitars. But what really caught my fancy were the shirts with their great designs like, well, lomo and vespa-related ones as well as other cool motif covering all and sundry. You can even bring your own design and they'll print the shirt for you. Check out the pictures.
