"Also Known As" Songs

Here’s a list of a few songs I really like done differently by artists other than the original. The originals are great of course. You might call these interpretations, version, renditions, revivals (dear God no!), covers etc. of the original. It’s not exactly better iterations of the original song but the unique way it’s done lends to its attraction and aural allure. Have a listen and tell me what you think … perhaps you can recommend some songs like them:

Incredible Filipino Martial Art: Kombotan

male73: Not to be confused with another popular Filipino skill: kembotan (roughly translated: dancing; literally: hip-swaying). Quite ironic that I'm into kendo when there are homegrown martial arts like this. But I do like arnis de mano, my grand dad taught me some basic moves before he passed away (which is a good thing because I certainly will not take martial arts lessons from a ghost, relative or not -- think kung fu Ju-on). No amulets though -- although relatives insist that grand pop did have anting-anting (supernatural power). But it (the anting) was good for attracting women and not for fighting so I guess I definitely didn't get that special power.

Pissed Off Deer Beats the Crap Out of a Hunter
